How our costs are allocated

As part of our funeral arrangement discussions, there will be reference to our fees. This will culminate in a full written estimate and confirmation detailing all the options you have chosen. Once you are in agreement with the details and associated fees, we will create a funeral account.

The funeral account is divided into two individual parts.

The Funeral Directors Charge

This will contain our professional fees and overhead costs. Included within this are provision of a 24 hour on call rota, making all the necessary funeral arrangements, documentation and personal attendances, conveying the deceased to our private chapel of rest and use until the funeral day.

Disbursements

Essentially these are the fees that we pay out on behalf of the family. For example, Doctor’s fees where appropriate, cremation or cemetery fees, Parochial fees. Our estimate will detail the approximate charges but they may be subject to slight variations. These costs are settled by one single payment before the funeral.

As you will no doubt appreciate, a funeral is an extremely personal occasion. Which is why we discuss costs during our initial meeting and to ensure they are based on your specific requirements.
